Attorney Bora is a Senior Associate at Valley & Summit Law, where he practices commercial and intellectual property litigation. His practice combines courtroom advocacy with technical and strategic IP experience, allowing him to serve clients across the full life of a dispute — from pleadings and motion practice through discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial or resolution — as well as in the counseling and diligence work that helps clients strategically avoid disputes whenever appropriate.

Business and Commercial Litigation: Mr. Bora works to resolve business disputes efficiently and on terms that serve his clients' long-term interests. He has handled business and commercial litigation in California state and federal courts, including breach of contract and fraud disputes, trade secret misappropriation claims under the California Uniform Trade Secrets Act (CUTSA), and first-party insurance bad faith matters, carrying lead responsibility for motion practice and discovery. He has also represented employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff wrongful termination actions under FEHA and CFRA, as well as wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA representative actions.

IP Litigation and Patent Counseling: Mr. Bora brings to IP disputes a depth of technical fluency, grounded in more than a hundred patent applications drafted and prosecuted across small-molecule and biologic pharmaceutical formulations, advanced batteries, biosensors, and semiconductors. His command of claim construction, prior-art analysis, and 35 U.S.C. §§ 102, 103, and 112 maps directly onto the invalidity and noninfringement questions at the core of patent litigation. While serving in-house at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, he collaborated with a leading AmLaw 200 firm on an inter partes review (IPR) before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (IPR2021-01324, challenging an intranasal epinephrine patent) and analyzed ANDA/Hatch-Waxman notice letters and BPCIA patent-dance exchanges. His patent counseling practice extends to strategic portfolio development, including invention disclosure harvesting and whitespace claiming designed to position emerging companies for growth — whether attracting additional investment, as with Lyten's advanced lithium-sulfur battery technology, or supporting the public valuation of an established company like Amphastar. He is skilled at translating the technical substance of a patent into a position that judges, juries, investors, and boards can readily follow.

M&A and IP Due Diligence: Mr. Bora also counsels clients on the intellectual property dimensions of corporate transactions. At Amphastar, he led the IP due diligence for the company's $1.08 billion acquisition of BAQSIMI from Eli Lilly, evaluating the patent portfolio, freedom-to-operate considerations, and regulatory exclusivities underlying the deal. He applies the same disciplined diligence approach to transactions of all sizes, helping clients understand what they are actually acquiring before they sign.

Mr. Bora is licensed to practice law in California, Illinois, Minnesota, and Washington, D.C., and is a registered patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (Reg. No. 72,377). He is also the sole inventor on two U.S. patents, bringing a firsthand inventor's perspective to his counseling and litigation work.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Bora enjoys reading science fiction, modern and abstract art, weight training, and hiking the trails of Southern California.
