Ying Du is a Law Clerk with the firm, where he supports attorneys in legal research, case preparation, and matters involving complex commercial and cross-border disputes, with a particular focus on intellectual property.

Mr. Du holds an LL.M. in U.S. Law from St. Mary’s University School of Law and has legal education and professional experience in both the United States and China. He brings many years of experience at the intersection of intellectual property, technology-driven business, and commercial operations.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Du built an extensive career with technology companies, including serving as a co-founder and senior executive. He was deeply involved in intellectual property protection, technology commercialization, and the legal structuring of innovation-focused enterprises. His work included IP strategy development, technology development and transfer, and the integration of intellectual property into corporate governance and business operations.

Mr. Du later held senior executive and in-house legal leadership roles within large-scale commercial investment and management groups in China. In these roles, he led and coordinated internal legal functions and personally drafted and structured a wide range of complex commercial agreements, including those involving investment and financing, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property transactions, technology development and transfer, commercial real estate operations and leasing, asset transactions, and other diversified commercial activities.

In addition, Mr. Du participated in the legal and commercial organization of large-scale business projects and brand initiatives, including cooperation with nationally recognized television and entertainment programs in China. Through these experiences, he developed recognized expertise in intellectual property management, commercial operations, and the coordination of complex, multi-party projects.

Mr. Du brings a combined background in intellectual property, law, technology-oriented business, and large-scale commercial operations to support attorneys in sophisticated litigation and advisory matters.
